Thinning Hair Problems

As one ages, one will have more and more of his or her follicles on the scalp dying off, the natural result is that by age 40, a good number of men and women experience thinning hair which can then become balding. The vexing fact facing a number of young men and women is that the thinning problem starts VERY EARLY NOW! It is now more and more common to see more and more people BALDING and AT A YOUNGER AGE! I am one of such young person who is balding and hence setting up this blog for all balding and thinning hair sufferers to unite and share resources. I am seeing improvement after getting and reading the E-book (see the left side bar for the MUST READ E-BOOK), I will update and share with you folks on all hair loss topics and my experience in this blog on a regularly basis (I try to update the blog daily, unless really very busy).

Thinning Hair Loss Treatments for Women

Females undergo many physical changes than men: be it the monthly menstruation, pregnancies or menopause, women certainly face more challenges than men in life as most women these days not only have to juggle with life, but also they have to play the role of a mother in their family. All these heavy tolls, added to the bio-changes that women experience, may cause hair loss in females. So for females who are balding, rather than starting a treatment first hand, I would advise women to monitor the situation of their balding or thinning hair problems for a few months to ascertain whether the problem is temporary or whether more help is needed.

Female Hair Loss

If you are suffering from female hair loss, there is some GOOD news. A female reader has reverted to me that she has seen improvements in her thinning hair problem as a results of following the advice Here ! You may want to give it a try! if you are a female suffering from hair loss!

Hair Care

Hair Care means caring for one's hair.. both internally and externally. Internally: observe you consume sufficient vitamins and minerals needed for hair growth. Externally: reduce stress, treat your hair with respect, avoiding chemicals, dyes, etc, sleep early. exercise regularly, use right kind of hair shampoos and products.

Of Hair Loss, Hair Loss Treatment Centres and Recession

The current economic meltdown which has gripped the world, has caused many to be retrenched or to have their wages cut or frozen, many people are troubled, stressed as their livelihoods are jeopardised or not as better as before. With the recession, a) more people become more stressed, have less appetitie, lesser sleep, more worried, this may lead to more suffering from hair loss b) those people who have been going for hair loss treatments, may be cutting down either in part or totally their hair loss treatments. Also, some who are contemplating to visit a hair treatment centre for their hair loss woes may also shelve the whole idea altogether! c) Those who suffer from hair loss due to this increased anxiety period may opt to visit the hair treatment centres if they really mind their outlooks very much and have trust in the hair treatment centres. Hair loss treatment centres are now having many promotions these days (as evident from the newspapers). With reference to some of the p

Singapore Hair Loss Treatments

I hate to enter into a pharmacy and when ask about a hair loss product, the sales personnel will promote what they want to promote because of commissions. Whenever, I ask these sales personnel more about the hair loss products, I discover that their knowledge are very limited and not comprehensive at all! Thus when it comes to hair loss treatments, I believe the best person to treat oneself is YOU, yourself. The way to go about treating oneself is to do lots of research online. But do not read one-faceted website, read a couple more before deciding whether to try (purchase) a hair loss product or not. Else money and time will be inevitably be wasted, if an unsuitable hair loss is YET used again!

Hair Loss & Hair Loss Shampoos

For many of you who have been switching from one hair shampoo to the other, hoping that one day, you will be able to find one hair shampoo which is able to stem your hair loss … … but to no success so far, I would just want to share with you on my beliefs. The first belief, which is the better one is that you have not found the shampoo which is most suited to your scalp, that could help you improve your hair thinning problem. The second and the lesser kinder belief is that the root of your hair loss problems lies somewhere else and could not be mitigated by hair loss shampoos alone. In fact, there are so many different reasons why one is balding or is suffering from thinning hair: stress, DHT, hereditary causes, malnutrition, lack of exercise, insufficient sleep, wrong shampoos, hectic lifestyle, bad hair products….. the reasons run the whole spectrum. When it comes to choosing a shampoo, rather than be persuaded by advertisements and be wowed by superstars’ endorsement or some display

Zinc and Hair Loss

A deficiency of Zinc can cause hair loss as Zinc is one of the vitamins that is needed for the synthesis and growth of hair. One way to check whether you are lacking in Zinc is to check your fingernails for those white patches. These white patches are symptoms of lack of Zinc. However, before you start on your ritual to increase your Zinc intake, take note that an excess of Zinc can also cause hair loss by inhibiting the absorption of important elements like iron and copper. It seems great to invest in a multi-vitamin regime!

Male Balding can be stylish too!

Just look at the picture above! Who says Male Pattern Baldness Sufferers are ugly? They can be stylish too!

An Inconvenient (Hair Loss) Truth!

I just had my hair cut yesterday. At the end of the cut, I asked my barber whether my hair is indeed balding. He nodded his head uncomfortably. There it was: An Inconvenient (Hair) Truth! Like Al Gore, in his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth!" where he tried to save the earth through sharing of his knowledge, here we are trying to share our knowledge, battling our very own "Inconvenient Truth!"

Singapore Male Pattern Baldness: ‘L’ shape Hair Loss

The hair loss, which I am suffering from, is what I call the ‘L’ shape hair loss. Why is it called ‘L’ shape Hair Loss? Let me explain to you. I like to part my hair, combing to the right (in the past). During the balding stage, the hair line of the side parting will become broader and broader and also the top left ‘crop’ of the hair will soon disappear. Simultaneously, the top of the scalp, which at the time of us being infants is a small round circle, will become greater in radius, and with the surrounding hair around the small hole becoming sparser still, the circular spot on the top of the scalp will become a horizontal line and it meets the ever-widening side parting to form a distinctively ‘L’ shape… this is what I call ‘L’ shape hair loss as the balding patch ‘L’ is distinctly seen on the scalp. Actually, this kind of balding is just an initial stage of male pattern baldness… soon the ‘M’ shape ever so characteristic of all balding men will form.

Anti- Hair Loss shampoos

There is a gamut of shampoos on the market these days, many of which are touted by the manufacturers or even endorsed by superstars like Jackie Chan to be able to combat against hair loss. I have stocked up a selection of shampoos and scalp serum all of which are of NO help at all! What a waste of money and time trying these products! I will rely on the HANDBOOK (see my post on 18 Jun 09) to glean better valuable tips which can really DELIVER!

Oily Scalp outside, dry inside ?

During my latest readings of internet articles, I discover that while some people’s scalp like mine are oily, in actual fact the interior of the scalp may be too dry hence leading to lots of sebum secretion on the surface of the scalp.

Hiding Hair Loss techniques for women

I have noticed a relatively number of woman who have balding or thinning hair problems often try to disguise or hid their hair woes by ‘pinning up’ their hair over those thinning spots so as to make it less discernible to others. However, I would like to caution that a tight pinning up of the hair may in fact lead to more stress for the hair, lesser circulation for the scalp and hence aggravating their hair loss problems.

Rubbing onion or garlic juices on scalp to promote hair growth

One home remedy practiced by some to stem hair loss is to rub garlic or onion juices on the scalp, hoping that the juices will revitalize the hair follicles to grow more hair. This may be a grandparents’ practice, however, I researched more into the treatment on the internet and realized that there is a scientific link to the treatment. This scientific link is that the juices of onion and garlic contain sulphur in high concentration and sulphur is touted to promote hair growth as it itself is a key ingredient for hair.

Sulphur Amino Acids and Hair Loss: Decoding the Sulphur link to Hair Loss

In one of my most recent posts, I have shared with readers about my regime on an oral hair supplement pill treatment called Hair Plus. Hair Plus pills contains a number of minerals which are believed to help promote hair growth. A chief constituent of the pills is Sulphur Amino Acids. As a result of my hair loss, I have carried out extensive research on this dreadful disease, which has troubled many young men and women. I have learnt that hair loss sufferers may lack a number of important minerals and vitamins such as biotin, Vitamin E, just to name a few. Today I would like to share with you another important element, which is so important to hair growth: Sulphur and that may be the reason why the pills I mentioned has such a high concentration of sulphur amino acids. Methionine is the body’s primary source of sulfur. The body uses Sulphur to influence hair follicles and promote healthy hair, skin, and nail growth. Sulphur is also beneficial to other parts of the body, for example, it

Hair Loss cure pills

So far, besides Propecia, I have not tried hair loss pills which are touted to return to balding men and women their headloads of hair. I have stopped Propecia as it makes me less sexy... you should know what I mean. Anyway, I have tried a raft of topical products to be applied on the scalps: hair tonics, not to mention going to Bee Choo hair treatments as well as trying close to 50 different brands and types of shampoos but all do not work for me. I am currently in the progress of monitoring my progress with Biolyn and am contemplating of oral medication to increase my hairloads.

He Shou Wu

Haiz.. my hair situation after using Biolyn shampooo and serum did not improve at all (up to this point). Dozens of hair were strewn all over the floor and at the bathroom sink after my shampooing. Is this an indication that the shampoo and serum is not working? or is it not suitable for me? or its still too early to see results? Read from a website that Biolyn shampoo cannot be used daily else one's scalp will become too dry.. u see thats something the pharmacist will not tell you. Actually, the pharmacists at some stores (I do not want to mention the names here) knows nothing about hair loss. They would just want to promote their own products and earn a comission, I believe. Today, I had a little time and went around the pharmacist looking for some oral health supplements to bolster health of the hair from inside. I always have hestiation to try oral hair health supplements as one would NEVER know what are the side effects that these drugs or herbs might cause. I was introduced

My progress with Biolyn Shampoos and Serum

Woke up today to see some strands of hair dropped on the bed and floor. What a relief but when I combed my hair, a number of hair fell! Thus the number of hair fell may not improved. As I combed my hair, the top of my scalp has increased in its thinning. From a small ‘O’ shape to a horizontal line which when meets with my side parting, becomes a ‘L’ shape. I have applied regliously Biolyn serum (complementary with the shampoo) on the top of my scalp. Its feeling itchy now, unsure whether it is good for my scalp or not. There is a Biolyn Youtube video as follows:
